SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP-AT-HOME,

Sunday, April 26, 2020

Worship-at-home service during the self-quarantine of COVID-19.

MESSAGE: REALISTIC HOPE

Last week we talked about God does not give us more than we can handle. Why does He do that? So we rely on Him during tough times. Watch last week’s sermon here.
This Sunday we continue in the same passage in 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 talking about HOW to rely on God. When we rely on God He stirs up hope within us. What is Christian hope? Is it just wishful thinking? Is it just crossing your fingers and having positive thinking? We’re going to see what is hope and how to stir up hope when we feel hopeless.

SONG LYRICS

These are the songs sung during the worship service. Please use the lyrics so you can worship along.

VERSE 1:

You hear me when I call
You are my morning song
Though darkness fills the night
It cannot hide the light
Whom shall I fear
You crush the enemy
Underneath my feet
You are my sword and shield
Though troubles linger still
Whom shall I fear
CHORUS:
I know who goes before me
I know who stands behind
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side
The one who reigns forever
He is a friend of mine
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side
VERSE 2:
My strength is in your name
For you alone can save
You will deliver me
Yours is the victory
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
BRIDGE:
And nothing formed against me shall stand
You hold the whole world in your hands
I’m holding on to your promises
You are faithful
You are faithful

God, You’re So Good

VERSE 1

Amazing love
That welcomes me
The kindness of mercy
That bought with blood, wholeheartedly
My soul undeserving
CHORUS
God, You’re so good
Oh God, You’re so good
God, You’re so good
You’re so good to me
VERSE 2
Behold the cross
Age to age
And hour by hour
The dead are raised, the sinner saved
The work of Your power
BRIDGE
I am blessed, I am called
I am healed, I am whole
I am saved in Jesus’ name
Highly favored, anointed
Filled with Your power
For the glory of Jesus’ name
VERSE 3
And should this life
Bring suffering
Lord, I will remember
What Calvary has bought for me
Both now and forever

SONG: Everlasting God

VERSE 1:
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord
Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
CHORUS:
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won’t grow weary
You’re the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on the wings
Like eagles
