This Sunday: When the Church Hurts

When (Jesus) saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. – Matt. 9:36

We’re taking a few Sunday’s to look at some reasons people don’t go to church. This Sunday we’re going to dig into the reality that sadly many people – maybe you know of some – have been hurt by a bad church experience in their past. They very well may have truly been wronged by the spiritual leadership in that church or by other members. Because of these hurts many people choose not to return back to a church family. However, God wants them to bring them healing and be part of a healthy, family of God where they can be in community with other believers. Do you know of someone who has been hurt by a church experience and are no longer a part of a church? If so they are welcome to join us this Sunday to hear how Jesus has compassion for them and wants them to be part of His fold again.
We’re also going to take some time to celebrate our mothers for Mother’s Day! I hope you and your friends will join us Sunday, 11am at Hyatt Place Hotel.
